Medical Tourism and eOPD/ePharmacy are booming areas in Healthcare where both private and public sectors are focussing and spending a lot of emphasis. With burgeoning burden on healthcare, people are looking for cheaper and better treatment costs, and that’s where medical tourism plays a great role. AIDONIS project scope was to design, build and deploy a fully responsive, dynamic web portal with all required web applications for enabling eOPD, ePharmacy. The portal was developed using Joomla web framework that offers many APIs and functionalities in-built to quickly develop web applications.
AIDONIS portal is bilingual, both Chinese and English language support has been implemented. A great deal of emphasis has been given to the infographics and UIs. All menu, pages and content are CMS driven, enabling admin to control the content of the portal. A lot of medicine brands are added with a comprehensive search mechanism implemented for ePharmacy. Booking Appointments, Enquiry, Customer Testimonials, Social Media integration are supported. One of the key requirement for the portal was to ensure it is fully compliant to SEO needs, so that it easily achieves top ranks in google/yahoo/bingo search engines. Appropriate SEO plug in was used so that admin can define and update the keywords, meta data for every page based on search engine optimization needs.
